US to give drink containers closer look at airports
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. authorities are warning air travelers to expect greater scrutiny of thermoses and other insulated drink containers at security checkpoints after intelligence suggested they could be used to hide explosives.
As a result, passengers flying within and to the United States may notice additional security measures related to insulated beverage containers in coming days, the notice posted on Thursday said.
