Job performance and ambivalent thinking
I think the researcher need to also look at the work environment that the employer is creating. If the employer are risk tolerant, then the employee will be more willing to take chances and make decisions. Else they'll be at pains making up their mind and being productive. Me? I'm ambivalent no matter what environment I'm in. Kinda like "half empty" mindset?

How Ambivalence Shades Your Thinking and Productivity
Read more at lifehacker.comIn the workplace, employees who are highly ambivalent about their jobs are more erratic in job performance; they may perform particularly well some days and poorly other times, says René Ziegler, a professor of social and organizational psychology at the University of Tübingen in Germany whose study of the subject is scheduled for publication in the Journal of Applied Social Psychology. Positive feedback for a highly ambivalent person, such as a pay raise, will boost their job performance more than for someone who isn't ambivalent about the job, he says.
Death to Poachers
I don't how much of the "killing" goes into the enforcement officers, customs officers and border patrolmen. I bet there's a lot.

More Troubles for Anwar
Good "aides" are hard to find these days. DSAI must stop picking young men as his aides. Hmm ... young men? I see a trend here.

Men stop Anwar’s former assistant from talking to media
KLANG: Groups of men stormed a restaurant here and stopped a former aide of PKR leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim from talking to the press.
It was learnt that Rahimi had stated in the report that he was forced to sign two statutory declarations in 2008 implicating Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor in the sodomy case involving his friend Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, who is also Anwar’s former aide.
It is believed that he had made a new statutory declaration yesterday to debunk his earlier two declarations. Klang OCPD ACP Mohamad Mat Yusop confirmed that Rahimi had lodged a report at the Klang police station.
Anwar’s aide in charge of Indian affairs K. Suresh Kumar, who was at the restaurant, accused Rahimi of trying to create chaos at a time when the PKR polls for the top posts were around the corner, and that he had been “paid” to make his allegations.

Raja Petra threatens to withdraw support for Pakatan
Pakatan has become a joke these days. How can they be trusted? What's worse, mainstream media will always hook on to this kinda "stunts" from such a performer RPK.

PETALING JAYA: Self-exiled blogger Raja Petra Raja Kamarudin has threatened to pull out from backing Pakatan Rakyat in the upcoming Galas by-election as he claimed the Opposition had failed to deliver on promises made during the March 2008 general election.
“At least let us see some, then we will be quite happy and we will continue to support Pakatan in every by-election and general election,” he said.
Anwar responded by insisting that the Opposition’s hands were tied as much of the power to implement reforms was centralised in the Federal Government.

Another Malaysian GLC in turmoil
The Sun on Oct 5, 2010 reported Khazanah has done an internal audit which resulted in "confirmed" irregularities. Arlida is to be promoted to a senior position in Khazanah at year end with the DRB guy taking over. Wonder if she'll take it. She was my former Exec Director at KLCC. How the world change...

PETALING JAYA: Something is brewing in Iskandar Investment Bhd (IIB), the company tasked with bringing investments into Iskandar Malaysia in Johor, and in Khazanah Nasional Bhd.
Government-linked Khazanah would hold a meeting late next month to discuss the position of IIB president and chief executive officer Arlida Ariff, sources from Johor said.
Sources said speculation was normal in Johor Baru’s corporate world, especially when it involved Iskandar.
Speculation on IIB’s top position surfaced following Tan Sri Muhammad Ali Hashim’s decision to relinquish his position as Johor Corp (JCorp) president and CEO in August.
After Ali’s departure, the pressure moved to Arlida whose contract is up for renewal at the year-end.
Arlida joined IIB as executive director in 2007 and was promoted to president and CEO a year later. Prior to that, she was KLCC Projeks Sdn Bhd executive director.
