Sodomy II: No test conducted for presence of lubricant, court told
General surgeon Dr Mohd Razali Ibrahim said knowing whether lubrication had been used, especially in a sodomy case, was very important, as it could indicate that sodomy might have ccurred even if there were no signs of injury.
However, when queried by Anwar's counsel Sankara Nair, Dr Mohd Razali admitted that he had not asked for a lubrication test to be conducted to ascertain the presence of any lubricant in Mohd Saiful as he did not think it was necessary. "It was not necessary. It was necessary to know, but not necessary to test," he said during cross-examination.
