Even if this is just pure bad luck, Tourism Ministry should look into her complaints about safety precautions taken by the operators. This is serious. Somebody could get killed by this kind of accidents.

GEORGE TOWN: Chinese tourist Zhu Li, who broke her legs when two Myanmar nationals riding a water scooter rammed into her, has vowed not to visit Malaysia again.
“When my daughter and I came here to visit my husband, her laptop was stolen while we were waiting for a bus at the KL International Airport.

Unesco warns Penang on swiftlet breeding shophouses
Centre director Francesco Bandarin said, in a letter dated Jan 14, the reports stated that there were 200 to 300 swiftlet farms in George Town.
These shophouses were sealed and continuously moistened to provide a conducive environment for the swiftlets, to the possible detriment of the building fabric.

Syariah judge charged with khalwat
GEORGE TOWN: Penang Syariah High Court judge Adam Tumiran, 43, pleaded not guilty in the Syariah Lower Court here on Monday to committing close proximity with Nurul Izani Md Isa at a government quarters here last Dec 5.

Gender segregation bid at New Year do slammed
GEORGE TOWN: The Kedah government has come under fire for trying to impose gender segregation at its state-level New Year’s eve countdown celebration in Sungai Petani.
Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak said there was nothing wrong with men and women sitting separately.
He said such a move could avoid problems such as pick-pocketing and indecent behaviour.

This time, a flying screwdriver
GEORGE TOWN: Just 48 hours after a falling stone killed a man at the Jalan Sungai low-cost flat, a screwdriver came flying down Monday, narrowly missing a housewife and her brother’s two children.
Sharifah Mydin Kutty, 27, was shocked to see her car’s windscreen smashed by the screwdriver just after she got out of the vehicle to collect the schoolbags from the boot for the two kids at about 3pm.
On Saturday, 64-year-old Koay Chin Chai died after he was hit on the head by a stone measuring 14cm by 10cm and weighing about 280gm.
